Job description
Step into a fulfilling, contract-based assignment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in an educational setting. This full-time opportunity runs from ASAP through June 6, 2025, with options to work both Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) sessions. Work closely with young learners, facilitating their communication development in both small group and one-on-one settings.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Current, active California SLPA license required
Previous experience in school-based or healthcare environments preferred
Comfortable working with preschool-age children and younger students
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compassionate, patient, and adaptable to varied student needs
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality speech-language support to students in groups of 2-4, with some opportunities for individual sessions with younger children
Follow treatment plans and therapy approaches outlined by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and communicate with educators and families
Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed
Support a positive, encouraging therapy environment where students feel safe and motivated
This position offers a predictable Monday through Friday schedule, typically 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, giving you evenings and weekends to enjoy your personal time.
