Job description
Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to an educational setting near Sunnyvale, CA! This contract opportunity is an excellent match for those passionate about helping students thrive through improved communication skills.
Qualifications:
Valid SLPA license in California (or eligibility to obtain)
Previous experience in school settings preferred
Strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities
Ability to implement speech-language therapy services under the supervision of an SLP
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Commitment to creating positive learning environments for students
Responsibilities: Work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver direct therapy services to students
Assist with screenings, assessments, and development of individualized education programs (IEPs)
Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
Adapt therapy activities and materials to meet the diverse needs of students across age groups
