Screw PiperPosition Overview:Threads pipe as needed for compressor units.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Installs threaded piping to Engineering specificationsCut and thread pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threadersSupport a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possibleAdhere to company policy, procedures, and rulesAdhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gearMaintain a positive, team-oriented attitudeFlexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirementsNeed minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobPerform various other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to read isometric pipe drawingsFamiliarity with manufacturing/fabrication processesAbility to work in a fast-paced shop environmentAbility to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)Ability to read and use a levelAbility to use hand tools and power toolsWelding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wireHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompetency test: Cut and thread a piece of pipe. Use it to build a small piping assembly from a drawing.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of time dailyAbility to lift up to 50 poundsVision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documentsWorking Conditions:Subject to outdoor and plant environment with adjusting temperatures and climateUpon Employment:Complete a Safety overview from the EHS & Facilities ManagerComplete a Quality overview from the Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager
