The scrub tech works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.The scrub tech assists the RN in maintaining the surgeon's preferences for listed surgical procedures of the specialty assigned.Remain current with all the new procedures and assist other team members with instrumentation and equipment associated specifically with the specialty.The collaborative efforts of both the RN and Scrub tech are the key to patient care excellence and physician satisfaction.Performs other duties as assigned.Team Member Competencies:Establishing RelationshipsPeer SupportInspiring and Motivating OthersDemonstrating Emotional IntelligenceActing with IntegrityBeing a Champion for Change and InnovationCommunicating EffectivelyPromoting Diversity and InclusionPhysical RequirementsThis job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
