SeamstressLocation: Burr Ridge, IL 60527Pay Rate: $22.00/hrShift: 1st ShiftJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial and/or commercial sewing machines and be able to perform alterations, repairs, and custom sewing work with precision. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow patterns or instructions, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Operate industrial and standard sewing machines to manufacture, alter, and repair garments, uniforms, or fabric-based productsRead and interpret patterns, specifications, or design instructionsMeasure, cut, and sew fabric according to project requirementsPerform quality control to ensure accuracy, alignment, and finish of final productsMaintain sewing equipment and work area in a clean and organized conditionCollaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlinesAssist in selecting materials and supplies as neededFollow all safety and company procedures during workQualifications:Previous experience as a seamstress, tailor, or sewing machine operator requiredFamiliarity with various types of fabrics, threads, and techniquesAbility to read patterns, take measurements, and make alterationsExcellent manual dexterity and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage time efficientlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periodsAbility to use hands and fingers for sewing-related tasksMay be required to lift or move materials up to 25 lbs
