Job description
Golf Shop AttendantProvides day-to-day operational support for the golf shop and course by ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards. The role also supports golf cart maintenance and coordinates with staff on daily operations.Essential DutiesResponsible to continually monitor, implement and adhere to all company goals, policies, procedures and controls.Check in of golfers and maintain a properly functioning tee sheet and pace of play.Assist with receiving merchandise and adhere to purchase order procedures.Assist with the rotation of shop displays.Maintain a functional stock room and assist the buyer and other shop assistants with stock and golf shop cleanliness.Assist with pricing of merchandise.Assist with maintaining proper inventory counts and levels.Maintain the cleaning, staging, fueling, and storing of golf carts.Greet guests, check in and monitor play in tournament and regular tee time operations.Assist with receiving inventory and display of merchandise for golf shop.Assist other staff with shop cleanliness.Empowered to administer to, and, be responsible for all golf shop counter activities relative to his/her shift including daily banks, cash register transactions, player counts, cash control, sales report, group ring ins, credit card reconciliation, Marshall/Starter communications, accident/incident reporting, merchandise restocking/reordering, special orders, pace of play reporting, shop cleanliness, group event procedures and guest complaints.Cooperate in performing other duties deemed reasonable and necessary by the management.Provide service in any and every way. Experience with POS systems preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and sales skills, oral, written skills, and telephone etiquette skills. Ability to handle money transactions accurately. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and ability to multi-task. LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS Valid state issued driver's license.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height. Some repetitive motion required including computer entry. Frequent bending, turning, kneeling and stooping. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Normal vision and hearing ranges required. Regular attendance and overtime required for scheduled shifts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.BenefitsThe City of Hobbs will provide 80% to 90% Heath Insurance Coverage from Single to Family coverage.Employees are eligible for 100% short-term disability coverage provided by the City of Hobbs.Employer PERA contributions 14.8% for general, 28.775% for HPD, 30.9% for HFD.CDL pay - $6,000 per year (if applicable).PTO accruals start at 12 hours per month (144 hours per year) and progressively increase based on years of service to 20 hours per month (240 hours per year) at year 21.Bilingual Pay - $1,500 dollar incentive per year upon completion of yearly proficiency test.Education Incentive - ($1,000, $4,000, $6,000 dollars - Associates, Bachelor's, Masters; degree must be relevant to position and above the current minimum requirements of the held position).Longevity Pay - Begins at the completion of 10 years of service. Gradually increased.Retention Incentive - $600 incentive yearly with years 1-9 of completed service13 Paid Holidays.Bereavement Leave - 5 days per calendar year per personnel rules guidelines.Military Leave - (120 hours per year for general, 183.75 per year for HPD, 360 hours per year for HFD).
