Seasonal needs are driven by weather-related roadway work, including asphalt repair, grading, ditching, snow removal, and other critical maintenance functions necessary to maintain safe and efficient transportation routes. This position ensures that the department has adequate staffing levels to meet public safety and service requirements without overburdening permanent staff or incurring excessive overtime costs. A seasonal operator provides flexibility to respond to fluctuating workloads, emergency events, and time-sensitive projects.Location: This position is with INDOT's Crawfordsville District. Pay Rate: This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00.A Day in the Life: What You'll Need for Success: Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs. Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana: This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
