A typical day in the life: As a tax assembler, you will assemble completed tax returns, scan work papers and other forms and serve as backup for miscellaneous administration projects. Responsibilities may include:Assembling completed tax returns and tax correspondence (ex: notices) in accordance with firm standards.Scanning source documents and tax workpapers for tax returns.Using firm software programs to move tax jobs through firm processes.Scanning signed forms to document management system (i.e. 8879's).Assisting with inventory of assembly supplies.Pre-labeling assembly supplies as needed.Assisting with miscellaneous administrative projects.This role may be for you if you: Are considering a long-term career in public accounting and want exposure to the industry, desire to grow professionally and develop your client service and technical skills or want to demonstrate your performance and ability to potentially join Honkamp as a full-time employee!
