Job description
Custodian - Second/Third Shift - All BuildingsProvide custodial services at assigned site(s) ensuring an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Perform a variety of cleaning operations and assisting in preparing facilities for daily activities and events. Maintain facility to the established standards of the District. Assist with after hours activities as needed.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Ensuring compliance with established Board policiesPerforming a variety of cleaning operationsPreparing facilities for daily operationsAssisting with after school activitiesSecuring facilities and groundsMaintaining supplies and equipmentPerforming minor maintenance on custodial equipmentReporting maintenance/grounds issuesAttending meetings and trainingResponding to safety and operational concernsAssisting with snow and ice removalQualifications, education, and experience:Valid Driver's License preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge, skills, and abilities:Ability to follow verbal and written instructionsSkill based competencies in operating equipment and toolsAbility to perform multiple tasks and upgrade skillsAdherence to safety practicesAbility to work independentlyReport of physical examination from a licensed physicianSupervisory responsibility: NonePosition IMRF eligible: Yes
