Job TitleStarting Date: School YearReports To: Supervisor, Special EducationWork Year: 12 monthsWork Day: Assignment may be made in any shift per the negotiated agreementSalary Range: Appropriate step on Support Staff Salary Schedule-Commensurate with experience/educationQualifications Include But Not Limited To:High School Diploma or GED, Post-secondary training or equivalent work experience is advantageousExcellent computer skills with speed and accuracy in Google, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; desktop publishing, spreadsheet and database management. (Skills test may be required)Knowledge/Experience working in PowerSchool and special education documents preferredExcellent skills in transcription, composition, spelling and punctuationExcellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work alone or as an effective team member in a common office environment in a large multifaceted organizationExcellent oral and written communications skills with students/parents/employers/educatorsAbility to multitask and prioritize workload to meet periods of peak demandMust be willing to be cross trained in other department as requiredGeneral office duties as needed including greeting/assisting visitors, answering phones, record keeping, and filing principles/proceduresUnderstanding the critical need and ability to maintain confidentialityExcellent human relation skills with a demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations in a professional and calm mannerOccasional requirement to lift and carry office supplies and materials up to a maximum of 50 poundsDocumented evidence of a clear criminal recordResponsibilities Include But Not Limited To:Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulationActively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board PolicyWork collaboratively and effectively with Penta Administration, Staff and Member-School Personnel and community agenciesWork under the guidelines of Penta's Mission Statement and goalsAttend district and state professional development eventsRemain free of any non-prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the districtAssume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Career Technical Director, Supervisor, or their designee(s)Deadline: Open until filled.
