Security Architect – Consultant (Cloud Engineer)
Columbia, SC 29210 - Hybrid
12 months
Need only South Carolina base candidates - Only W2 role.
Key Responsibilities
Perform system administration, automation, and development activities for the Cloud Management Platform.
Work with Department of Technology Operations personnel and customer teams to facilitate cloud migrations.
Maintain the availability and continuity of shared services across AWS and Azure.
Support cloud governance, security, networking, identity management, cost controls, and platform operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
8+ years of technical architecture experience with relevant hands-on engineering experience.
10+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture.
8+ years of technical architecture experience.
5-7 years of AWS experience, including:
IAM
AWS Organizations
Cloud networking architecture
Cost-management controls
3-5 years of Azure experience, including:
RBAC
Cloud networking architecture
Cost-management controls
3-7 years of enterprise cloud architecture or cloud governance experience.
3-5 years of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
3-5 years of cloud migration and platform operations experience.
3+ years of technical leadership and knowledge-transfer experience.
Strong public-cloud infrastructure expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS and/or Microsoft Azure certifications.
Experience designing scalable cloud technologies and solutions.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms.
Knowledge of cloud security, penetration testing, and threat-detection tools.
