The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is currently seeking candidates for a full-time Security Branch Chief, GG- , located at the Assessments Division, Fort Belvoir, Springfield, VA.

Salary Rate
$143,000 - 163,000
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction -V2007.
Depending on the type of position you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period or 2-year trial period.
This position can close at any time.
In this position, you will serve as the principal advisor and implementer of the Security Program for multiple highly sensitive and complex mission sets, including Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral security domains.
The candidate will manage and execute security requirements across all four core security disciplines-Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, and Personnel Security-while leading a team of three contractor personnel through non supervisory management responsibilities.
This role directly supports a high visibility personnel recovery mission, requiring exceptional judgment, technical expertise, and the ability to navigate non routine, sensitive, and time critical security challenges.
U.S. Citizenship
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Expert knowledge of National level Programs, information, industrial, and personnel security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas as well as USAF research and technology protection procedures.
Advanced knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to manage and assist subordinate security managers in establishing and operating internal security programs.
Knowledge of security program interrelationships to coordinate the objectives and plans of two or more specialized programs to support and promote information sharing, strategies, and implementation.
Skill in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet classified mission requirements
The employee will need to obtain and sustain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) no longer than 24 months after assignment
Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), and Security Program Integration Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD -M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative
