Sycuan Security CoordinatorThe ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive. Much has changed since that time. Today the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of other business ventures in the San Diego Region. Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job Purpose:Coordinates security services through radio and telephone communications and monitors closed circuit camerasJob Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)Coordinates security services by receiving and dispatching calls, monitoring fire panel, radio activity, and officer locations and activities, dispatching units as needed, contacting the appropriate Department, law enforcement agencies and emergency services as needed, and maintaining chronological records of daily events and pass down logs for information transfer.Protects casino assets by monitoring designated casino areas, parking lots, stairwells, basement, food receiving docks, team member and emergency entrances and exits, and other related areas equipped with cameras and non-gaming surveillance equipment, and reporting irregularities, crimes or unusual activity by guests and/or team members to appropriate law enforcement agencies.Provides guest service by answering team member and guest inquiries regarding exclusion histories, accident reporting, vehicle services and other security-related procedures and services.Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:High School Diploma or G.E.D.3 months Dispatch ExperienceDesirable:1 year security or emergency dispatch experienceLaw enforcement dispatch experienceSecurity Operations experiencePOST CertificationGuest service experienceSkills and Knowledge:Essential:Basic understanding of security policies and proceduresAbility to log factual information received from radio and telephone communicationsAbility to operate sophisticated communications and surveillance equipmentAbility to evaluate non-routine situations and make sound judgmentsAbility to effectively communicate in the English language with guests and team membersAbility to provide verbal directivesAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external contactsWorking knowledge of MS Word and ExcelAbility to perform data entry assignmentsAbility to compose written documents in the English languageAbility to complete forms and documentsAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and assignmentsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to understand and follow verbal directives and written directionsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to sit for up to eight hours at a timeAbility to appear for work on timeDesirable:Working knowledge of basic radio and telephone proceduresProficiency Microsoft Word and ExcelMulti-lingualKnowledge of CCTV equipmentSupervisory/Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NoneIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
