As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and contribute to a welcoming, orderly environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and a caring, people-first culture.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Thur 08:30 AM - 05:00 PMFri 08:30 AM - 05:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entrances, public spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, directing visitors to appropriate departments and maintaining a professional presence.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when required.Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related matters.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Have at least one year of security-related experience.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of StateAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
