Job description

Security OfficerAs a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, CNS Healthcare's mission is to serve the people of our communities. We've shared some highlights below, but you can visit the benefits guide posted on our careers page to learn more!Comprehensive medical insurance optionsEmployer-paid benefits including dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insuranceRetirement program with generous company default contribution and matchGenerous PTO program starting at 18 days annually16 paid holidays, including 3 floating holidaysPaid parental leaveStudent loan forgiveness eligibility, including Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), HRSA, and moreInterested in learning more about this role?Please see below for a summary of job responsibilities and qualifications!Performs hourly security patrols.Monitor building and property access.Enforces parking, security, and safety procedures.Assists in the prevention of theft, sabotage, fire and accidents.Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.Greets and aids employees and visitorsServes as training officer to new security staff.Other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)2-3 years of previous security experienceKnowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement proceduresAbility to recognize the possibility of physical confrontations and ability to de-escalate such situations effectively.Hearing acuity and effective listening skills required.Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteouslyAbility to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential natureAdvanced time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, collaboration and conflict resolution skillsAbility to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the departmentIntermediate level experience with computers and Microsoft office productsWorking knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, the CNS Corporate Compliance Program, CNS Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures.Ability to understand and value cultural and ethnic differences, their alternatives perspectives, lifestyles, etc.Ability to create accurate reports and use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.Valid and unrestricted Driver's LicenseTransportation or Automobile accessibility with current automobile/vehicle insurance meeting agency policy requirementsAbout CNS Healthcare:CNS Healthcare (CNS) is a non-profit, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) with seven clinics and two clubhouses in Southeastern Michigan.
