School Security GuardPosition: School Security GuardEffective: School YearSpecifics: 10-month, Full Time, 1.0 FTE, when students are in session. Not to exceed 8 hours per day. Unaffiliated salary schedule $16.48 per hour. 7:30 am to 4:00pm. Reports to: Building Principal.Qualifications: Good employment and excellent attendance record. Excellent public relations skills. Ability to communicate well with students. Ability to follow directions, make decisions, and assume responsibility for activities without supervision. Ability to successfully pass background (fingerprints) and physical screening.Responsibilities: Greet students entering and leaving the building. Building relationships with students to create a positive school culture. Monitor students in hallway & cafeteria throughout the school day including morning and afternoon dismissal time. Escort students to their classroom or administration office when arriving late or are wandering the halls. Ensuring students are following policies as indicated in the school handbook. Monitoring and ensuring that the school is a safe environment. Communicating with the Building Principals and School Liaison Officer.
