We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people's lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: Responsible for providing security coverage at campus access gate, performing patrol duties in assigned areas to ensure positive group relations and activities, to protect life and property, in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions:Follow company security procedures on all persons and vehicles entering and exiting the campusAdvise students and provide guidance for positive attitude and behavior in on center activitiesPatrol and monitor center grounds and the surrounding vicinities as required ensuring safety and proper behavior of students; resolving potential or occurring problemsProtect and secure buildings, center vehicles and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment; maintain log of findings and corrective action taken; control security vehicle assignments and useAssist in emergency evacuation, control and accountability of students and staff; respond to fire alarms; take necessary steps to report fires; reset fire alarm equipmentIssue visitor badges and parking permits; issue staff and student keys and badges; maintain related recordsDistribute petty cash, maintain accountability logs and receipts, and audit each shiftAssist staff and law enforcement personnel in controlling disturbances; conduct investigation of crimes and unauthorized activities as assignedReview student problems with counselors and student personnel officerAssume supervisory responsibility of all safety and security activities when assignedPerform administrative functions such as logs, incident reports and accident documentation; act as center dispatcher as assignedWhen directed to do so, overtime is expectedRegular and predictable attendance is requiredParticipate in student employability programs and activitiesSupport and promote center zero tolerance policiesProvide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customersPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventionsMaintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practicesAssist, support and communicate with community life departments to ensure high level of service.Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience working with youth preferredSecurity related experience is desiredComputer proficiency requiredValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordManagement & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
