Security OfficerPrimary Purpose: Under general supervision, provide security and protection for students, staff and visitors and prevent property loss due to theft or vandalism.Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED Clear and Valid Texas Driver's LicenseSpecial Knowledge/Skills: Ability to clearly and accurately record information Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)Major Responsibilities and Duties: Patrol all campuses to prevent property loss due to theft and vandalism Check for open/unlocked gates and secure as needed Resolve conflict or confrontation between students and report disturbances to Police Department, Sergeant, or Chief of Police Control traffic and parking on campus grounds during school hours and after hour events Experienced Personnel Preferred
