Security OfficerCitiguard is currently hiring security officers to contribute to our workforce. We pride ourselves on the protection we provide to our clients and community. Citiguard is a proud, equal opportunity employer with diverse personnel.Responsibilities:- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.- Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.- Escort individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection.- Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position preferred.- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.- Familiarity with report writing.- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.- Ability to operate CCTV systems and other security equipment.- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs, and lifting.
