Security Officer Patrol Operations - Normal, IL

As a Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. This driving post offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that delivers with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Wed: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

Thur: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

Fri: 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

Sun: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, entry points, offices, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.

Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.

Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
