Security Guard PositionJCCA is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and secure environment for our staff, clients, and visitors. This is a vital position on our team, ensuring the protection and well-being of everyone on the residential campus while supporting our mission-driven work.As a Security Guard at JCCA, you will play a key role in daily safety operations, including:Patrolling the campus to safeguard personnel and propertyMonitoring surveillance equipment and securing access pointsEnforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure environmentActing as primary contact for first responders during critical incidents (fire, active shooter, major disturbances, natural disasters)Providing professional, courteous assistance to staff, clients, and visitorsHelping de-escalate client or visitor incidents when neededResponding swiftly to emergencies and offering supportDocumenting incidents, observations, and security activitiesChecking doors, windows, emergency lighting, and fire safety equipment; reporting needed repairsManaging vehicle access and reporting unauthorized vehiclesFollowing procedures for fire prevention, property patrol, and incident investigationsMaintaining an accurate daily visitor log at the guard boothCommunicating with alarm monitoring vendors when alarms are triggeredMonitoring CCTV and alarm systems for potential security breaches or hazardsQualifications:High School Diploma or GEDValid Security LicenseMust complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and re-certify every 6 months (training provided)Strong knowledge of security operations and proceduresExcellent interpersonal communication and sound judgmentCustomer-service oriented with the ability to work professionally at all levelsExperience with CCTV, access control, and alarm systemsAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs safelyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentProficiency in Microsoft Word and OutlookSchedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday -8PM - 4AM OR Part-Time Saturday-Sunday -8PM-4AMPay Rate: $22 per hour
