As a Security Guard, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our community. If you're passionate about maintaining a secure and welcoming atmosphere, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.Job SummaryAs a Security Guard, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility, its residents, employees, visitors, and guests. This includes responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, monitoring cameras, and patrolling premises. You'll also be responsible for overseeing mail functions, securing exits, and submitting daily surveillance reports.ResponsibilitiesRespond to all facility emergencies/codes in a timely manner and facilitate the resolution as neededEnsure cameras are monitored, guests and visitors are signed in, resident safety checks are performed as scheduled, and emergency response is timely and appropriate for the situationInvestigate all allegations of missing items from residents, in cooperation with the nursing staff, families, and local law enforcement authoritiesCoordinate efforts with the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments to resolve safety hazards or issues of non-compliance as identifiedOversee incoming and outgoing mail functionsPatrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presenceRemove wrongdoers and trespassers from the facility as neededSecure all exits, doors, and windows throughout the facilitySubmit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrencesQualificationsKnowledge of safety and security practices, procedures, and guidelinesAbility to manage department staff and function as a team playerDemonstrate excellent customer service skillsAbility to meet departmental objectives utilizing critical thinking skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rate: $17 - $18Opportunity to work part-time or full-timeAbout UsAt Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, we're dedicated to providing quality care and diversified services with a professional team of caregivers who focus on each resident as a whole person, encompassing their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.
