Security GuardThe Academy Charter School ("The Academy") offers an exceptional interdisciplinary curriculum in a technology rich environment that challenges students to explore connections across subjects and use experiential learning to bridge the gaps between theory and practice.The Academy Charter School Security Guard Protects school property and insures safety of pupils and staff by providing adult supervision inside and outside of the school.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPatrol hallways, main entrances and recreation areas and occasionally provides supervision as neededProvide supervision for bus areas during arrival and dismissal timesCheck perimeter to ensure no unauthorized access into school is available to outsiders, doors are locked and to become aware of any potentially harmful activity occurringCheck the functioning of security systemCheck first floor restroomsProvide direction to visitors at main entrance- check to see that visitors have signedControl building access and respond to alarmsAlert Administrators of problems arising from congestion or other sourcesResponsible for the safety and welfare of all students during admission and dismissalInteract with students, parents and colleagues in a professional, positive and inspiring mannerOther tasks as assignedPay Transparency: The hourly range for this role is $18.00/hr.- $ 21.50/hr.
