Job description
Security GuardAs Security Guard with The Fedcap School you'll be a key member of a dedicated, robust team of professionals providing a holistic approach to education and support for 65 students with disabilities. You will participate in ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for all students as part of our Wrap Around Model that ensures a team focus to support and reinforces positive development in all areas of our students' lives.ResponsibilitiesEvicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take overControlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocolsMonitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activitiesProviding detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to managementTesting security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectorsUsing provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise mannerPerforming CPR or first aid when neededQualificationsHigh School Diploma/Pass background clearanceExperience working with students with special needs is preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related softwareBuild strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
