Safety Officer - Part-TimeGeneral Description: The Safety Officer will be responsible for the security and protection of all MVCTC property. Responsibilities will include assisting the safety coordinator and principals in carrying out board policies and school regulations as directed. The safety officer will assist the coordinator in providing outside surveillance, inside security, prohibiting unauthorized entrance to MVCTC property, securing district property and performing safety and welfare checks.Qualifications:Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation, a minimum of two years of experience in a security related field or in law enforcement, and possess an Ohio Peace Officer Training Council Peace Officer certificateAbility to exercise good judgment and make sound decisionsHave first aid and CPR trainingAbility to handle situations inherent in working with teenagers and young adultsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPossess a valid Ohio Driver's licenseSufficient mobility, dexterity, and strength to respond to situations quicklyAbility to work flexible hoursSalary: $27.50 per hourLast Day to Apply: Until position is filledFor Information Contact: Carl Bush, Safety Coordinator Miami Valley Career Technology Center 6800 Hoke Road, Englewood, OH 45315
