Security Officer - 2nd ShiftLocation: New Bremen, OH, US, 45869Crown Equipment Corporation is a leading innovator in world-class forklift and material handling equipment and technology. As one of the world's largest lift truck manufacturers, we are committed to providing the customer with the safest, most efficient and ergonomic lift truck possible to lower their total cost of ownership.Job DutiesLead Security Officer Duties - In the absence of the Lead Security Officer, the Officer with highest service credit will act in this capacity. The Officer will assign work to Security Officers, review daily logs and incident reports for all patrol tours per shift, assist in training personnel, and assist the department in responding to security questions, problems and issues.Safety Equipment Inspection - Perform and document safety equipment inspections and maintenance.Dispatcher Operations - Operate and monitor computer based fire/security alarm system, radio and telephone communications systems. When notified by these systems, make required notifications for 811 emergency service, severe weather, or other emergencies. Process and update security information either in the form of paperwork of input data into database. Operate switchboard after normal working hours and communicate with company employees, outside callers, vendors, guests, customers, etc.Property and Facility Patrol - Tour all company properties and facilities (either by vehicle or foot patrols) and monitor the general welfare and condition of safety/fire equipment, securing doors, machines, lights, office equipment and building status in general. Document surveillance checkpoints. Report unsafe or hazardous conditions and provide assistance when necessary.Other Duties / Miscellaneous - Facilitate the controlled access procedures for the company facilities. This will include the escort of guests, contractors and company personnel, the locking and unlocking of controlled access buildings, and the control of parking and traffic. Respond to all incidents and security and fire alarms to access and communicate the need for assistance when necessary. Write summary reports of responses to specific incidents and general patrol activity. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.Minimum QualificationsLess than 2 years related experienceHigh school graduate or equivalentVery little to no travelOvernight stays unlikely.Job requires employee to drive a company vehicle; job is non-DOT regulated and an MVR is requiredMaintain a telephone at their residencePer 8-hour shift. Sit 4 hours and stand 4 hours. Both typical and non-typical office environment (low to moderate noise level, low exposure to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Occasionally lift 21-30 pounds. Frequently climb stairs. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard. Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs. Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.)Preferred QualificationsContinued employment as a Security Officer is contingent upon the successful completion of the Company sponsored Medical Emergency Response Team (first aid and CPR certification) and Chemical Emergency Response Team (hazardous materials) training courses.Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided.
