As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position. Join Allied Universal, where teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation guide our people-first culture.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $15.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed 12:00 PM - 06:00 PMThur 06:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat 04:30 AM - 04:30 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, reviewing visitor and contractor authorizations, issuing access documentation, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.Operate access control systems, cameras, communication equipment, and alarm-related systems in accordance with post orders and established procedures.Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and document activities as required.Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, perimeter areas, and assigned facility locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.Possess 1+ year of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.Access control/badge experience is preferred.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
