As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, secure environment. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through attentive access-control procedures. This driving position reflects our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture, built on teamwork and integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $15.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed10:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur04:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri04:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat04:00 AM - 04:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges or passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, inspect authorized deliveries as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols of access control points, perimeter areas, and surrounding business locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.Preferred: Customer service experience.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
