What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or members of the campus community while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders.
Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment.
Minimum Requirements:
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
