As an Armed Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. A valid driver's license is required for this driving post. Join Allied Universal's caring team, where integrity, reliability, innovation, and teamwork guide every shift.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $21.50 / HourJob Schedule:DayTime Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities within a government corrections environment.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, entrances, and/or parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, and movement through assigned areas; document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in required reports.Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with applicable laws, policies, training, and Allied Universal procedures.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.An armed guard card or license is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
