As an Armed Security Officer, you will patrol transit-related locations, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and employees. This driving role combines professional communication, sound judgment, and customer service while responding to security-related concerns. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative team, where a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity guide every shift.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.63 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeTue 03:30 PM - 01:00 AMThur 03:30 PM - 01:00 AMFri 03:30 PM - 01:00 AMSat 03:30 PM - 01:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, vehicle areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.Minimum Requirements:Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.Possess an armed guard card or license.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
