As an Armed Security Professional supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Job Schedule:
Day Time Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized individuals at a government corrections-related location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access to restricted areas in accordance with established post orders, verifying authorization and documenting visitor, vehicle, and contractor activity as required.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and public emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and policy violations while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
