As an Armed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post calls for professionalism, strong communication, and customer service while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $23.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeMon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering restricted operational areas.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and public emergency services as directed by post orders.Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.Minimum Requirements:Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
