Security Officer - Badge CheckpointAs a Security Officer - Badge Checkpoint in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible awareness, clear communication, and accurate documentation. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative team, where a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity guide every interaction.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $19.00 / HourJob Schedule:Day TimeMon 11:00 PM - 07:30 AMThur 11:00 PM - 07:30 AMFri 11:00 PM - 07:30 AMSat 11:00 PM - 07:30 AMSun 11:00 PM - 07:30 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site access-control procedures.Operate access-control systems, issue and collect visitor credentials, maintain required visitor logs, and report access discrepancies to site leadership.Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
