This Security Officer position is located in the Hegewisch neighborhood in Chicago, IL. The main objective for this security position is to maintain activities that safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property.Shift Information:3rd Shift: 11:00 pm to 7:00 amPerks & Benefits: Modern, high tech environment, weekly paychecks, direct deposit or cash card pay options, paid time off.Shifts: 3rd Shift. Pay Rate: $18.50 / hourDuties:Interior/exterior patrolsMedical escorts/emergenciesAutomobile assists (jump-starts/unlocks)Payroll distributionAccess control managementDisciplinary/termination supportInvestigations & report writingMonitor & record VMS (video management systems)Monitor time clock activities.Inclement weather assistanceAsset protectionLoss preventionOther duties as assignedSecurity Officers must demonstrate good judgment, professionalism, and excellent communication skills. They should also be able to manage stressful situations and remain calm.Position Requirements:Have security, military, or law enforcement experience and/or are attending College/University seeking a degree in criminology/criminal justice, or have obtained a degree in these fields of study.Must have a High School diploma or its equivalentRegistered as a security officer (when it is required/available in your country, state, or province)Trained in First Aid or Basic Life SupportMust have a clean criminal record. Mandatory checks are required annuallyMust be 18 years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be in good physical conditionMust be able to remain in the elements for extended periods of timeMust be able to do required foot patrolsMust be able to lift 60 poundsMust work holidays and weekends as neededFamiliarity with report writing (competency with spelling/grammar)Excellent surveillance and observation skillsKnowledge of legal guidelines in the areas of security and public safetyExperience with Video Management Systems (VMS) and Access Control Systems (ACS)Completion of relevant security training (self-defense, judo, handcuffing, crowd management, etc.)Proficient with Windows OS, MS Office applications, and internet navigationRequirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old. Able to Lift 60 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.Work Location: Flex-N-Gate, Hegewisch, IL 60633. Industry: Manufacturing.The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $18.50 - $18.50 per hour.
