As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.Position Type: Part TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeTue 08:30 AM - 05:00 PMWed 08:30 AM - 05:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office location while carrying out site-specific, security-related procedures and policies.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of visitor activity in public-facing areas.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.Prepare clear and timely activity, incident, and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.Minimum Requirements:Possess a New York State Security Guard License.Possess at least one year of security-related experience.Customer service experience is preferred.Access control and badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of StateAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
