Job Description
As a Security Officer - Data Protection in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a leading technology infrastructure location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or access-control issues.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and maintain professional communication with the Allied Universal team and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card/license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
