Security OfficerSt. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Part Time Security Officer to join our team!Employment Type: Part Time, 16 hours per weekShift: Day Shift, weekends, 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM Location: St. Mary Medical CenterPosition PurposeThe Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property.As a Security Officer you will:Serve our customers and provide high quality service with care and courtesy.Treat customers/patients in a respectful manner.Report all accidents or incidents promptly.Correct and/or report any potential safety hazard you see.Take ownership for a safe, comfortable and clean environmentMakes appropriate safety and security rounds.Maintains watch on the employee parking lot.Opens/locks buildings, as appropriate.Use/extinguish premises light & turn in a list of defective lights, as appropriate.Conduct/assist with missing person reports.Provide escort services to visitors.Maintain smooth control of traffic.Assist motorists involved in vehicle breakdowns.Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.Has oversight of the SOC (Security Operations Center)Handles Duties associated with the Operation of Metal Detector and WandingMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with a good driving record1-2 years customer service-related experience in a hospital settingPrior Hospital Security Officer experience preferredFingerprints and background check during the hiring processPosition Highlights and Benefits:Comprehensive benefit packages, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, paid time off, 403B, education assistance and voluntary benefits (pet insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity and others) available from the first day of employment.Work/Life balance with flexible schedules.Free onsite parking.Our mission and core values are what drive each member of Trinity Health to support each other, communicate openly and respectfully while embracing a culture that nurtures a healing, safe environment for all.Referral Rewards ProgramSt. Mary Medical Center is a beautiful 53-acre state-of-the-art facility comprised of more than 700 physicians, nearly 3,000 colleagues, and 1,100 volunteers committed to providing quality care delivered with compassion and respect.
