Security Officer Military Police ExperienceAs a Security Officer in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document activities and support access control operations. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative team, where a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity come first.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $25.00 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or security-related systems in accordance with site requirements, documenting observations and incidents accurately.Assist with maintaining a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client site protocols.Minimum Requirements:Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.Have access control and badge experience preferred.Have customer service experience preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
