That's why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Recording in Whitsett, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.Pay Rate: $16.89 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AMHow This Role Works:Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.Responsibilities:Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and reports for security-related incidents and observations.Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting incidents and forwarding maintenance, access, and security-related concerns through appropriate channels.Minimum Requirements:Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Flexible Scheduling: Choose from a variety of open shifts that align with your availability and lifestyle.Career Growth: Clear path to full-time roles and ongoing advancement through paid training programs.Smart Tools: Access exclusive technology for real-time shift visibility and claiming.Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, retirement plans, and disability insurance; seven holidays annually paid at time and a half, if worked; 40 hours of vacation after one year of employment at eligible work assignments (unused vacation is only paid out where required by law).Employee Perks: Enjoy discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and more through our perks program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
