Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Access in Hanahan, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and access-control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying unusual conditions.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access-control concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
