Job description
Security OfficerProvides protection for individuals and property from injury and/or criminal acts, prevents unauthorized entry, and responds to emergency situations. Provides cargo screening if assigned.Essential Functions:Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points.Investigates security breaches, incidents, and other alarming behavior.Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Education:Two (2) years college/equivalent.Minimum Experience:Two (2) years' experience in law enforcement/military/security or a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations.Ability to successfully complete required training programs.Strong oral and written communication skills.Job Conditions:If posted for Global Screening team, requirements include successful completion of cargo screening training and certification.Must maintain a valid driver's license to operate company vehicle.Non-covered safety sensitive position.Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Able to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.Number of Openings:Four (4) Open PositionsShift Schedules:1 for 2nd Shift from 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM3 for 3rd Shift from 10:00 PM - 6:00 AMWork/Domicile Location:These positions will be onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not available for this role.Pay Transparency:Pay: Minimum: $21.14/hr - Maximum: $29.59/hrFederal Express Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer including, Vets/Disability.Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities throughout the application process.
