Security OfficerAre you dependable, alert, have great customer service skills, and ready to take on a role that keeps people and property safe? A Security Officer role at Premier Security Solutions might just be the job for you!Industrial Sites - The Security Officer ensures efficient and professional security operations at work sites within the appointed region. This position is a working level Security Officer who actively work onsite, securing the client's property, location and deterring suspicious activity. Security Officers will report any suspicious activity immediately to the Security Corporal on location. Perform all essential functions of a Security Officer while at appointed site.Essential Duties / Responsibilities:Work to ensure that the assigned premises are kept safe and secureRegular walks around assigned perimeterMove blocker vehicles as neededCommunicate effectively and regularly to team using assigned radioIdentify and correct inefficiencies, liabilities, and safety hazards at appointed siteFollow procedures to handling gates, lights, and visitor check insMonitor assigned location with high degree of attentiveness to surroundings at appointed siteProvide detailed information to authorities as neededHave NO use of force to protect property – Secure and Report ONLYOther duties as assigned by supervisor and/or managementRequired Skills / Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacyUtilize the company's current scheduling and approving her/his weekly hours for payrollExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a mustProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to other related softwareJudgement and high level of integrityHigh initiative and reliabilityAbility to work in a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamworkSafely and legally operate a motor vehicle; Must have a valid and current Driver's LicensePhysical Demands:Must be able to sit upright, stand, or walk for 100% of the shift as neededMust be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premisesMust be able to engage quickly physically to de-escalate or respond to security or safety threatsMust be able to regularly get in and out of vehicles to perform tasks including moving blocker vehicles as neededMust have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speech.Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.Position Type and Expected Work Conditions:Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt – Minimal 8-hour shiftsInvolves work assignments that vary in days of the week and time of day to relate to the 24/7 security operations of the clientTravel to other locations may be neededBoth indoors and outdoors possible, regardless of weatherMust be able to work 2 weekends per monthIf Special Events Security Officer – hours will vary are based off event scheduleRequired Education and Experience:High school diploma or GEDRequired to make any/all continued training/education classes provided by Premier Security Solutions, relevant to positionLaw enforcement, public safety, or military experience, preferredOther Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
