As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Security Officer to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.As a Data Center Security Officer, you will conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor closed circuit televisions and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity, and misconduct, and perform other duties as specified in post orders. The Data Center Security Officer is trained to work on all posts, at the assigned site location, and is available to work all shifts in a 24/7 operational environment. Security Officers are often the first and last interaction point for a facility, therefore, the ideal candidate will possess excellent professionalism and customer service skills.Core Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:Patrol exterior grounds of the facility.Observe and report and suspicious activityMaintain awareness of surroundings to promote physical security and safety; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazardsObserve departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsContribute to communication and awareness of security policies and issues as needed; warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articlesPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits; control/direct traffic; observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirementsQualifications/Requirements:Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license AND/OR reliable source of transportationPossess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective mannerValid DPS Guard Card/license, as required in the state for which you are applyingAs a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a background investigationDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skillsHave intermediate computer skills to operate innovative and wireless technology at client specific sitesAbility to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyExcellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to accept new ideas and proceduresExceptional dependability is a must. Security Officers are part of a proud team that depend on one anotherMust possess the confidence to enforce established client/facility rules, policies, and regulations when faced with perceived or actual pressure to act in the interest of quick/easyPreferred Qualifications:Military ExperienceExperience with security technologies including Video Surveillance, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems, Security Operations CentersPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectorsClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glassesAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cablesAbility to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facilityAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snowCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protectionPossession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as requiredIf you are a motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for data center services and a knack for building strong client relationships, we want to hear from you.
