As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while working as part of a team. Join Allied Universal's agile, caring culture, where integrity, innovation, and teamwork guide every assignment.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $21.75 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Thur 09:00 AM - 09:00 PMFri 09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat 09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSun 02:00 PM - 06:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, assisting with access control procedures for authorized personnel, visitors, and vendors.Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, patrol activities, observations, and other security-related matters in accordance with site requirements.Minimum Requirements:Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.Possess an armed guard card or license.Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
