As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain an orderly environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support security-related operations while remaining visible to help deter incidents. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative team, where a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity come first.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $17.60 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeMon 11:59 PM - 08:00 AMTue 11:59 PM - 08:00 AMWed 11:59 PM - 08:00 AMSun 11:59 PM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and driver arrivals, issuing access credentials as directed, and maintaining accurate entry records.Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity at gates, docks, and designated access points; communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, pickups, and restricted-area access.Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:At least one year of security-related experience is required.A Guard Card or license is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
