As an Access Control Officer supporting a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative team, where a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity put people first.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:DayTimeWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or members of the public by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals in accordance with established procedures.Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site representatives and/or emergency personnel as needed.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, checkpoints, public areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.Prepare accurate reports and maintain required records related to visitor activity, access control events, incidents, and daily operations.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Have at least one year of security-related experience.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
