As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and personnel. You will provide outstanding customer service, clear communication, and a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. Join Allied Universal, where our agile, reliable, and innovative team puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Mon 05:00 AM - 01:00 PMTue 05:00 AM - 01:00 PMWed 05:00 AM - 01:00 PMThur 05:00 AM - 01:00 PMFri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation location while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation in accordance with established procedures.Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records; issue and collect access credentials as directed by site procedures.Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as required.Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, public areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Licensed by the New York State Department of State
