As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Steward in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for individuals, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Tue: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, residents, and program participants while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
Monitor access points, greet and direct visitors, and verify authorization in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and public emergency services as needed.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
