Security Officer Full Time Unarmed License Compliance PatrolAs a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed License Compliance Patrol in Astoria, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Join Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and caring team, where integrity and teamwork guide every shift.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $18.87 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhat You'll Do:Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a government sanitation operations location.Respond to incidents, unusual conditions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, delivery, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.Have at least one year of security-related experience.Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.Have access control and badge experience, preferred.Have customer service experience, preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
